Joycelin is a young lady with Cerebral Palsy using elbow crutches to travel around Singapore. She started clay when she was a teen and was using all kinds of air-dry clay brands. For the past 7 yrs of her life, she was trained to produce clay art for retail sales and was also trained to teach children and adults in my previous job. She joined Art:Dis Singapore in July 2019 and after 1 – 2 years she progressed into Artist In Training(Ceramics) in April 2022.
My Sculpture speaks of me and many other people with disabilities and the passion and fire that is within waiting for people to discover. My sculpture does exactly just that cause My sculpture represents Fire even those are all basic shapes bowls and droplets joining together but when you see near or far it speaks of FIRE and the passion from within the person doing them.
