Artwork Statement

I crafted this urn in commemoration of my friend whom introduced and guided me in the craft of ceramics. He pushed me to venture beyond my capabilities. He passed on before he was able to create a proposed artwork for an exhibition. Using the knowledge and experience he has shared with me, I recreated his artwork for this exhibition. In hopes of commemorating, honoring and reconnect his spirit of caring with the community.
