艺术家张暐出生于新加坡，早年就读于南洋美术专科学校，今南洋艺术学院。随后，他留学中国美术学院，获雕塑系学士学位。他曾参加联展和举办个展。曾在南洋艺术学院兼职教课，并以西方绘画课程来教授各种不同领域的美术爱好者，同时也不断进行雕塑创作。张暐的雕塑作品俱写实或具象，常以简洁和感性的手法自然生动地呈现出来。

Singapore-born artist Chang Wei received his early art training at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA). He subsequently earned his BA in Sculpture from China Academy of Art.

Chang Wei has participated in numerous group exhibitions and also had his solo exhibition. He had taught in NAFA, instructed various groups on western arts while actively continuing with his sculpture works.

Chang Wei’s practice includes representational and figurative sculptures executed in a naturalistic realistic style, often rendered with simplicity and sensitivity.
